Possible Early Meet Times (Morning Tours) Due To High Wind Predictions

If high winds are predicted for the day of your morning kayak tour, we may contact you the day prior to your tour to let you know that the official meeting time has been moved up – usually by 30-60 minutes. We do this because on windy days the wind often starts getting strong as mid day approaches. If we start earlier and get off the water earlier we have a much better chance to avoid rough and challenging conditions during the latter part of the tour. Note that high wind conditions like this are most likely from March through June but could happen at any time of year. If you don’t hear from us, assume that the standard meeting time in your confirmation packet is in effect. It is very rare outside of the March to June time frame for us to have to alter the meeting time, and even within the March to June time frame it only happens infrequently. If we change to an earlier meeting time and it is impossible for you to make the earlier meeting time we will try to reschedule you to a different date and/or tour, or do a refund.
